It is time to make your home ready for the holidays. Decorations, preparations, shopping, all in full swing. But do you think of the comfort of your guest room? You should do your best to make your family members and friends, that have come to visit you, have a good time. Here is how to make a welcoming guest room for the holidays.
First, make the room look clean. I bet that it is stuffed with your old clothes, full of items you consider useless for now. It is true that you have cleared some place in the other rooms, but can your guests sleep on the clutter? No, of course. Deep cleaning is inevitable. Try to collect the items that you may use soon in a box and put it in your bedroom. If you can store it under the bed in the guestroom, do it. But if the guests will be tripping over it, you'd better put in your own room.
What your guests will certainly appreciate is some decoration in the room. Some treats and snack, too. It's Christmas time after all, spoil them a bit. They will remember it, and of course, do the same in return. Set a good example.
When the room has been subjected to some deep cleaning, you can now transform it and make it all in Christmas decoration. Don't overdo it. Some garlands and ribbons are fine. Put a Christmas sock on the table or on the window sill. Make sure that you can supply the room with some snacks or at least fresh fruits, as your guests may be too shy to ask for snacks.
