How to Remove Red Wine Stains from Wool Carpet

When red wine is spilled on your wool carpet, you should take steps to remove the stain immediately. The wine will set into the carpet fibers, making a permanent red stain if you neglect the prompt intervention.

There are many household items good in removing fresh wine stains. Whether you will use club soda to douse the affected area and then blot with a clean cloth, or you will use salt to absorb the red wine, this really doesn't matter - the important is to act quickly before the wine spillage dries. Instructions

1. Combine 1 teaspoon of mild detergent, that doesn't contain bleach or alkali, with 1 cup of lukewarm water.
